Today’s Fully Enlightened Soul, Param Pujya Shree
[Most Reverend] KanudadajiMr. Kanubhai was born on September 17, 1930; on waning 9th day of the month of Bhadarva as per Moon Calendar. He was son of Dada Bhagavan’s business partner Mr. Kantibhai. He grew up in Dada’s laps. He finished his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. On his completion, one of their family friends, Mr. Nandubhai Patel, who was in PWD [Public Works Department], persuaded Dada to employ Kanubhai in his organization so that he could have a good future! Dada told him, “Kanubhai is a straightforward person, anytime he could get into trouble. Instead, we would take him in our own construction business.” And that was how Mr. Kanubhai joined the family business of construction with Dada. As regards to Self-realization, his own turn came in March 1963 in Mumbai. The whole family was in Mumbai and a very sensitive and tricky situation arose between the father and the son. Kanubhai was trying to explain something but there was some misunderstanding and the situation blew up. When Dada learnt about this, He came rushing to them along with Mr. Rasikbhai [Kanubhai’s brother, who had already got the “Divine Vision” from Dada] and said, “What have you made of your life?! It isn’t for such differences and conflicts.” Dada took this opportunity and told Rasikbhai, “Come on! Let us show Kanubhai the “Vision of God.” He took him upstairs to His place of worship and first made him bow at the Lotus feet of Srimad Rajchandraji, on the photograph. Dada handled the situation very tactfully. Normally, one bow and surrenders to a Living Gyani. But here, Dada knew that if the case is not handled properly in the beginning, everything would go wrong. And then He blessed him with the ‘Divine Vision.’ He was 33 then. Kanubhai slept peacefully all that night and got up with a totally new Vision! For him the world had changed forever. He experienced the Bliss! He decided take the morning breakfast for Dada himself. Even Dada was surprised but He never reacted. After keeping the tray on the table Kanubhai sat at Dada’s feet. Dada asked him, “Why? What happened today?” For him until yesterday, Dada was a respectable elder, simply an uncle but today He was the Manifested Living God so, with great humility and profound devotion Kanubhai responded, “Dada, shall I tell you the truth? Until yesterday, I was living life like a fish taken out of water! But, You put me back in the water!” For Kanubhai the flower had blossomed never to wilt!!!

He understood and observed VITRAG DADA BHAGAVAN as the living example of VITRAG VIGNAN in all the facets of His life, as a very respected elder of the family, as an ideal householder, as a successful businessman and then as a fully Enlightened Soul, Gyani Purush! His physical association with Dada was very close until 1978 when Dada fractured His leg and, he had to leave Dada’s close vicinity to fulfill the commitments of the ongoing running business. After 1978, he visited Dada intermittently. But as the saying goes, “Nearness increases understanding and devotion but separation sharpens understanding & devotion!” It is due to his deep-rooted understanding of VITRAG VIGNAN and his sincere unending efforts through an unconditional surrender to VITRAG DADA BHAGAVAN that Mr. Kanubhai quickly climbed the ladder of spirituality and reached extraordinary heights of inner experienced state of “Pure Soul.” Dada Bhagavan left His mortal body on Jan 2, 1988.
